About the workshops
Who are CoMagnify workshops for?
Who are CoMagnify workshops for?
Small business owners, founders, individuals and in-house marketers who've already tried marketing themselves and want to do it better. We deliberately skip the absolute basics, you won't be shown how to create a Facebook account. Most attendees have been running their own marketing for a while and want to level up.
I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?
I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?
Possibly. But we call our workshops "Post Novice", because in most cases we're not planning on going through the absolute basics. For the "Facebook for Business" workshop, for example, we're assuming you already know what Facebook is, probably have a personal profile, are likely already aware that business pages exist, even if you are yet to set up yours. Some of our workshops are marked as "Beginner" because no prior knowledge is required, such as "AI Explained". But for most of our workshops, some knowledge of the platforms or the concepts is going to enable you to get the most out of the workshop. If in doubt, drop us an email or give us a call.
How long are the workshops?
How long are the workshops?
90 minutes for the standard workshops, or four hours for the half-day workshops. Half-days include a break.
How many people are in each workshop?
How many people are in each workshop?
Ten maximum. Every workshop, every venue, every format. It's a workshop, not a lecture. There are going to be discussions and lots of questions. Keeping the groups small ensures everyone can be involved.
What level are the workshops aimed at?
What level are the workshops aimed at?
We're calling our workshops "Post-novice". We assume you already know roughly what you're doing and want someone who actually does this for a living to tell you what to do next. Most workshops are pitched at intermediate level. AI Explained and Vibe Coding 101 are deliberately more accessible to people newer to those specific topics, although knowing what the internet is and having heard of ChatGPT, for example, will ensure that you're getting the most from the workshop.
Are the workshops recorded? Can I just watch something online?
Are the workshops recorded? Can I just watch something online?
No, we don't record our workshops, or offer any "off the shelf" recordings. The reason for this is that marketing and AI change too fast for a recording to stay useful. We spend a lot of time keeping every workshop updated so that we're giving you the very latest information, including algorithm updates that are happening as we speak, new AI model releases and so on. Every workshop is current as of the day it runs, taught by working marketers who are using the same tools and platforms on real client work alongside the teaching.
What do I need to bring?
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself and a notebook. A few workshops benefit from bringing a laptop if you want to work on your own content in the room. We'll mention this in the workshop description and confirmation email.
Will I get any materials to take away?
Will I get any materials to take away?
We don't tend to share the slides from the workshops, for exactly the same reasons why we don't record our workshops, the information and advice might become out of date days after taking the course. What we do share with you is statistics and sources. Any data we use to underpin the advice we're giving is supplied as a PDF after the workshop so you can see what information we're working on.
Booking and money
How do I book?
How do I book?
Through our booking page, which uses TicketTailor. Pick a workshop, pick a date, pay by card. You'll get a confirmation email straight away with the venue or Zoom link.
How much do the workshops cost?
How much do the workshops cost?
£40 for a 90-minute workshop, £95 for a half-day. Same price for in-person and livestream.
Are you VAT-registered?
Are you VAT-registered?
No, we're not VAT-registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. No VAT on top.
Can I pay by invoice or BACS?
Can I pay by invoice or BACS?
The standard route is card payment via the booking page. For bespoke training and group bookings we can invoice and accept BACS. For individuals booking standard workshops, invoicing is possible but full payment is required before the workshop runs.
Do you offer group or team discounts?
Do you offer group or team discounts?
No, we don't. We've kept our prices deliberately low so workshops are accessible to small businesses without needing a discount. £40 for ninety minutes of training from someone running real campaigns is already about as low as it gets.
Do you offer a loyalty discount for repeat customers?
Do you offer a loyalty discount for repeat customers?
Not at time of writing. But we're considering introducing a loyalty discount, "get your fifth workshop free" type deal. Watch this space.
Can I bring a colleague on one booking?
Can I bring a colleague on one booking?
Each booking is for one place. If you'd like to bring a colleague, book a second place. The ten-person cap is per attendee, not per business.
How late can I book?
How late can I book?
Booking closes at midnight the day before the workshop. We need to know numbers for the venue and the trainer, so I'm afraid we can't accept same-day bookings.
In person vs livestream
What's the difference between in-person and livestream?
What's the difference between in-person and livestream?
The content, the trainer and the small-group format are identical. In a livestream the presentation will appear on your laptop screen, at our venues it will appear on a big screen at the front of the room. The trainer will be in front of the presentation in both formats. In-person workshops run at one of our four West of England venues. Livestreams run live on Zoom, with the same ten-person cap. Both are live only, no recordings either way.
Where do you run in-person workshops?
Where do you run in-person workshops?
Bristol (SpaceWorks, Easton), Cheltenham (Ramada by Wyndham), Swindon (Delta Hotels), and Thornbury (Thornbury Golf Centre). Full venue details on the venues page.
Can I switch between in-person and livestream after booking?
Can I switch between in-person and livestream after booking?
Yes, of course. You can also switch between different in-person events, if you'd prefer. Switching between workshops, numbers permitting, does not incur any charge. Just drop us an email or give us a call and we'll move your booking.
What do I need to join a livestream?
What do I need to join a livestream?
A computer or tablet with a webcam, a quiet space, and a Zoom-capable browser or the Zoom app. If you'd like to work in parallel during the session, a second screen or split-screen setup helps.
Will the livestream be recorded for me to watch later?
Will the livestream be recorded for me to watch later?
No. Livestreams are live only, just like the in-person workshops. See above for more information on why we do this. If you can't attend the date you booked, get in touch and we'll move you to another date.
Cancellation and changes
What's your cancellation policy?
What's your cancellation policy?
If you cancel up to 7 days before the workshop, we can issue a full refund. Less than 7 days out, we'll happily transfer your booking to a future date at no extra cost, but can no longer offer a refund I'm afraid. Email info@comagnify.com or call us on 01454 406006.
What if I can't make it on the day?
What if I can't make it on the day?
Let us know as soon as you can and we'll transfer your booking to a future date. We'd rather you came to a different workshop than lose your place entirely.
What if CoMagnify cancels the workshop?
What if CoMagnify cancels the workshop?
Rare, but possible (it hasn't happened yet). If it happens we'll refund you in full and offer first option on the next available date.
The bigger picture
Which workshop should I start with?
Which workshop should I start with?
This depends on where you think you could do with boosting your knowledge. We love delivering all of them, but Practical AI for Marketers is a great right-here-right-now subject which impacts a lot of the other areas you'll need to be using for your business (social media, SEO, website and so on). But we usually find that when you take a look at the list of workshops available, you'll be drawn to your own weak spots.
I want training tailored to my specific business. Can you do that?
I want training tailored to my specific business. Can you do that?
Yes. Bespoke training is one-to-one or small-team coaching, shaped around your business, your goals and your starting point. It's more involved than the standard workshops, tailored specifically to you or your team and priced accordingly. See the Bespoke Training page or get in touch.
Do you offer free tasters?
Do you offer free tasters?
Yes, free online taster sessions run monthly, to give you a good sense of what the main workshops will be like. They're 30 minutes long and run on Zoom only. We don't do free tasters in-person. One booking per email per quarter so we keep places available for genuinely new attendees. See the Free Tasters page.
Can you train my whole team in one go?
Can you train my whole team in one go?
Yes, either as a bespoke session or by booking everyone onto a workshop. If you want a scheduled workshop all to yourself, book all the places and you'll get 100% of the trainer's attention. Get in touch and we'll talk through what works.
